How sad is this? Frank Schaeffer, son of Francis Schaeffer, says he is pro-life and pro-Obama. How schizo is that? Read part of what Schaeffer says in his article (which completely distorts most pro-life evangelicals):
Today when I listen to Obama speak (and to his remarkable wife, Michelle) what I hear is a world view that actually nurtures life. Obama is trying to lead this country to a place where the intrinsic worth of each individual is celebrated. A leader who believes in hope, the future, trying to save our planet and providing a just and good life for everyone is someone who is actually pro-life.
Now here’s my question. How can Schaeffer keep a straight face when he says that Obama “is trying to lead this country to a place where the intrinsic worth of each individual is celebrated” when Obama believes that babies in the womb in fact do not have “intrinsic” worth. Webster’s dictionary of law says that “intrinsic” means “belonging to the essential nature or constitution of a thing.” Schaeffer is speaking nonsense! Can a baby really have intrinsic worth and then have his or her brain crushed and the contents sucked out in a late-term abortion? Oh yes, Obama believes that procedure should be legal.
And, what good does it do to a dead baby if we say we have “hope” and a “future?” Future for whom? Certainly not the baby! Oh, and Obama is going to help us save the planet. Too bad millions of babies won’t be around to experience the “planet utopia!”And, Frank apparently believes that Obama wants to provide a ” just and good life for everyone .” Everyone except the “everyones” in a womb.
What nonsense! Frank here’s a message to you. Get religion..the true religion.
