The Wall Street Journal had several articles that laid the blame of the current economic woes partially at the feet of the Democrats. They were the ones who forced mandates upon Freddie and Fannie to encourage “affordable housing” for low income families, thus essentially creating a federal mandate, and thus a market for sub-prime loans.
