Rev. David Cassidy has written on In Hoc Signo that in his opinion, the campaign is over. Obama is breaking away and McCain has missed several opportunities to win the election. He writes that it looks like this is going to be a landslide win for Obama. Rev. Cassidy notes that sadly,
…a massive majority of Americans - including (just incredibly!) many Christians - will vote for the most radically pro-baby killer we’ve ever seen.
He writes concerning the financial bailout,
…most voters must believe that the person to run the new semi-socialist economy would be the candidate of the party most closely aligned with secularist and socialist principles, and that is Barack Obama.
I am increasingly afraid that Rev. Cassidy is right. In my opinion the Christians who plan to vote for Obama, either wittingly or unwittingly, are embracing a candidate of death. There is simply no doubt that Barack Obama is the most pro-death national candidate this nation has ever seen. Mix that with Obama’s socialism and you have the makings of a nanny state not too different from communist China.

Good post.
I share your concern. We are headed towards Marxism with this bailout.
I think McCain may have sealed his defeat by supporting the bailout. Some of his supporters, none of which he can afford to lose, were free market voters. They saw Obama as a huge threat to capitalism. Now McCain is supporting the largest Marxist program in our nations history. It’s going to cost him votes.
So-called pro-life Christians abandoned McCain because they deemed him not pro-life enough. Now they’re supporting Obama. Talk about cognitive dissonance.
