The gentlemen at The Reformed Forum have interviewed Dr. Carl Trueman about the history of Trinitarian thought, and John Owen’s contribution in particular.
The Reformed Forum is “A Venue for Promoting Reformed Theology.” If you haven’t checked it out, get on over there. Great stuff!
Also, the John Owen book giveaway noted above is a joint effort of The Reformed Forum and Feeding on Christ. The books are an 1810 edition of John Owen’s Pneumatologia: or a Discourse Concerning the Holy Spirit. This book was published in Philadelphia, printed by and for William W. Woodward. It is a slightly abridged edition by George Burder. It is the first American, from the Second London Edition. The second book is Carl Trueman’s John Owen: Reformed Catholic, Renaissance Man published by Ashgate Publishing Co.
All you have to do to be eligible to win is just add the Feeding on Christ feed and/or the Reformed Forum feed to your blogroll, RSS reader, iTunes or any other way you keep track of your regularly read blogs and listen to podcasts. After you subscribe, email them at giveaway@reformedforum.org and let them know which feed(s) you have subscribed to. In addition, let them know in what state and/or country you currently reside. You will receive one entry for each feed you subscribed to up to two per person.
John Owen’s contribution to trinitarian theology is monumental! If you want to learn more, I would particularly recommend the book on Owen by my mentor at Covenant College, Kelly Kapic. The book is called Communion with God: The Divine and the Human in the theology of John Owen.
